CVMS is a good school. The teachers are very committed to the students and the curriculum is appropriately challenging. The only downside I have seen as both substitute and parent is the sheer size of classes. My hat's off to those teachers who are dealing with 30+ kids and some of them are a handful every day. Discipline is fairly tight when teachers choose to acknowledge good behaviors and don't put up with bad ones. Leadership is good, especially Mr. Franco, the new principal. I'd like to see more community service requirements and more enrichment like foreign languages. I've seen incredible schools and really awful ones, and I think this is a good one. My child does pretty well here but there's still room for improvement.
