Leon Heights is a wonderful, small elementary school with caring, talented teachers. The children really know each other and family support is great. It is easy to talk to the teachers, the prinicpal, and work with all of the other staff as well. The support and encouragement my children receive is outstanding. There are many extracurricular activities available. This school makes education a positive experience and focuses on preparing the children for the next step in their education process.

Leon Heights is an outstading school. As an involved parent and active PTA member, I feel my 3 children are receiving the education and skills they will need to be successful in their academic years. The staff and faculty are wonderful. Being a small campus allows the children to receive more one on one time with their teachers. Keep up the good work!

I actually removed my children from Leon Heights due to its extreme failure to meet their needs. On paper, this school appears to be fantastic. They have some of the highest TAKS scores around. Of course, they spend about 3 months exclusively preparing their students for that test (a test that measures the low end of any given grade) instead of teaching them what they need to know. I, however, had one child attending the school who needed reading assistance and another child who needed to be highly challenged. Neither of those objectives were achieved and both children suffered. Ultimately, for this and other reasons I don't have room to write about, I removed my children from Leon Heights and they now attend a different school in the district.
Leon Heights is a positive, safe, encouraging campus! I could not be happier that my daughter is there. The faculty and staff are wonderful!
