Cheverus High School was a great experience for me and prepares you for college as well as any school in Maine. There are Cheverus graduates every year that go to some of the best colleges in the country. The teaching prepares students for college extremely well and is a much stronger school than the surrounding public school systems. The student body is compromised of students more serious about their education.
Cheverus High School is a relatively affordable Catholic high school that promotes academic excellence, personal responsibility and a social conscience. Although we are not Catholics, one of my child's favorite classes is Theology. It a welcoming, 'low drama' student body whose parents care about their children't whereabouts. The teachers challenge themselves and their students alike and are highly responsive educators. The strong music and athletic programs and various clubs offer an broad array of extracurricular activities. I would recommend this school to anyone seeking an alternative to area public high schools, regardless of religious background.
