It's a 'family.' Everyone has the best interest of the children in mind--faculty, staff, parents alike. Academically, instruction is tweaked to help every student. Engagement-wise, everyone participates! I couldn't ask for a better place for my daughter to be!

We love the school. it is a great family environment for all the kids. It is diverse, so you children will experience a good sense of what the real world is like. We have a huge parental involment and The Kingsley Charter School Council has been named National Parent Group of the YEAR 2008 by PTO Today magazine. That really makes a difference in your child education. Teachers are excellent. There are a lot of activities going on thorugh all the school year. We feel very happy and fortune to belong to this school.

If you're looking for a lily white upper class school, Kingsley is not it. Kingsley is diverse. We have a wide range of income levels, religions and nationalities. We have some students that struggle with test scores and we have some that score through the roof. Yes there are families in Kingsley district that opt out for private. There are also many (such as myself) that left the private option for Kingsley. I've been a parent at Kingsley for 8 years. With a diverse school, you will have challenges. You may not have the same challenges in a private school but there will be challenges nonetheless. Private schools don't guarantee higher test scores however they may provide an environment that's more suitable for your child. Every child is different. The bottom line is - VISIT THE SCHOOL. You may find that our diverse community is just what you're looking for.

I am a parent that has been associated with Kingsley for 7 years. I still feel that Kingsley is an excellent school. It all balls down to parental involvement. I sit down everyday and review homework and school work. You can not expect the school to do it all. The previous post says 'the basic needs are not met'. What basic needs? My kids' basic needs are being met with a quality education. The previous post says 'the school is suffering due to the demographics of the area.' Is this because minorities (African Americans and Hispanics go to this school)? Well, welcome to the real world!! It is projected Caucasians will no longer be the majority in the United States within the next few years. I still contend Kingsley is an excellent school with dedicated teachers and I am satisfied and proud to send my kids to Kingsley everyday.
