This is a phenomenal school where my child is now for her second year. It specializes in a arts-centric (visual) approach to teaching kids with language/reading based learning disorders. Her progress and self-esteem growth is nothing short of amazing. Many subjects are taught with a 2 or 3:1 student:teacher ratio. Kids receive indiviudalized at-school and at-home work, ensuring they are appropriately challenged and are making the right progress. The school is now up to 96 students, just at the beginning of the third year. Word is spreading amazingly quickly: families from out of state are moving here to attend the school! (P.S. If you need a deeper track record than three years, look at the Lab School in D.C. on which AIM is directly based.)
