Oakdale High School provides an outstanding and challenging academic environment for students who wish to excel. I was most impressed by the fact that--even though OHS boasts outstanding football, baseball, and women's softball teams--the first presentation made at the annual Open House for parents was made to promote the school's outstanding Academic Decathlon Team (which has won its section eight years running and finished 2nd in California last year). One more thing: the community really gets behind its school. I was amazed to see that nearly 140 scholarships (most of which are sponsored by local businesses and families) were presented to the Class of 2008--this for a senior class numbering less than 600. Awesome!
Great academics, great athletics, and even better community-everything you would want when looking for a school!
