Sandy Miller offers an exciting educational experience that has become almost non-existent in this district. The teacher's love their jobs and show pride in their school and students. The school programs and activities are continuous because of the support and engagement from everyone. At other school's I've seen it time and time again where a teacher has an idea, implements the program and then it unfortunately falls flat because of the lack of interest or support. You can definately see at this school that it is a team effort with excellent leadership and respect amongst the faculty and administration where every idea is nurtured. This is a gem in the desert!
This school has wonderful facilities, a caring principal, and excellent, well-trained teachers. We are very happy that our son is here, and that he has the opportunity to take Spanish.
Sandy Miller has been a answer to my prayers. Coming from a private school I feel this school is offering my children more academically and giving them more opportunities to be with peers of all backgrounds. I would recommend this school for any parent whom is asking themselves that hard question... public or private. I truely feel I am getting the best of both worlds. Go for it this is a great school!
School a bit above average. Too much concentration on appearances to the point that serious negative issues are hidden. Extra activities (school trips, choir and other clubs) are good, but used as threats against children. It would be nice if the administration was more interested in what was happening instead of what they want to happen. Don't count on much help if your child is 'special needs'. The experience for my child was merely ok outside of academics and, if I knew then what I know now, I might not have chosen SM for my child.
