Emmorton has to be one of the best schools in the country! Their academic instruction is outstanding, but their art, vocal music, band, P.E., and media programs are incredible! My kids love going to school there!
I have two daughters, both attend Emmorton Elelmentary school from Kindergarten. They both love the school. They especially love the specials including art, music, PE, and media.
My daughter started in second grade last year with Mrs. Parker (who is now retired) after being in a Montessori program for 3 years. At Emmorton, her reading skills improved tenfold primarily because of the many reading incentives and mandatory reading iniatives. Her math skills are also above par within one year of being at EE. Before coming to EE, my daughter was slightly behind in reading and significantly behind in math - she now tests at or above her grade level. I also volunteer at the school and have had the opportunity to overhear the special ed tachers' interactions with their students - they should be commended! The quality of the teacers at EE is unmatched. I cannot say enough good things about EE its staff, the level of parental involvement or the efforts of the PTA. -Tricia Thompkins
