This school has a great record of winning and high standards. The down side is that if you are not an A student with alot of money, then you might feel lost and out of place. There is no lack of money, social cliches, and enthusiasm for football. Football is virtually the only sport anyone pays attention to and it is where all the money goes. Drugs are not in short supply either. Alot of illegal sustances go in and out of the school, yet the faculty is more worried about dresscode and making sure students are wearing their I.D bagdes. Most teachers are carless, and board. You can get away with almost anything. AP cless are an exception. they are taken very seriously. I wouldn't recommend this school unless you are very accomplished in a sport,(they have every sport imaginable) vocal music, band, or you are academically driven.

One of the best schools in the United States. The Jenks District is one of the five public schools in the US to receive the US President's Award for excellence!
Jenks is a good school system due to the teachers there. The administration, school board and town all focus way too much on the football team. If JHS could use the money that pours into the football team and it's facilities- it would be the best high school in the state- hands down. But- in Oklahoma, and particularly in Jenks- football is king! and too bad for everything else...........

My children have attended Jenks schools since kindergarden and I work at the High School. I have one child who is not terribly social and not at all athletic. She has a great group of friends and thrives in the middle level, academically. I have another child who is very social, and excels academically and athletically. She also has a great group of friends. Both have gotten an appropriate amount of attention from their teachers and have done well in their classes. I like it that the AP classes allow the kids to be challenged in the classroom at the level they require. The point is that there are wealthy kids (not us!) and there are jocks, but the school is large enough that most kids can find a group of people and activities to fit their interests. I also see the principals as being very involved
