The faculty is rude. Just plain rude. The academics are just, ridiculous. I agree with Carissa, you can pass without doing anything, they don't even challenge you. The majority of teachers don't care about their jobs or their students. Today I couldn't attend a pep rally and I got sung that I had no spirit and was told rudely goodbye. It was for personal reasons. What I'm trying to get across is the faculty is just as bad as the students. There is so much disrespect not only from the majority of teachers but from the kids as well. It's so irritating. There is hardly any parent involvement, it's a sad excuse for a school, honestly.

I am a recent graduate from Plainfield High School, and I must say that we should not bash all of the teachers at Plainfield High School. I feel that the school system does have alot of professionals there who care about their job and students. Where the problem in Plainfield lies is with the some parents. If you look at the parent involvement for Plainfield it is pretty low. I remember when going there the attitudes some students had toward school and I feel it is a shame because your education is what is going to get you anywhere. I feel that with a great new facility, students should take advantage of their oppourtunities. If students want to succed, try, don't blame it on teachers because you slacked. Teachers can only do so much. I succeeded with the help of my teachers and because I chose.

ok i currently attend plainfield high school and i have to say that it is the best school i have ever went to. First of all i think we have the best teaching staff around who love to do their job and actually care about the student. There not only there for teaching but the teachers take it upon themselves to help students deal with problems. Its good knowing u can feel conformable in school. The guidance department is really good and has some wonderful people who can help u with your problems. The administration is as helpful as any. We have a principle who really cares and helps. Our athletics are grade A but where getting there. Our school is small in numbers but that just makes the experience all the better.

I am a graduate of PHS and found look back on it with fondness. Like any school (or business) there are great teachers and there are bad teachers and there are some who fall in between, either remaining stationary or moving in eithger a positive or negative direction. Obviously, the school district does have its share of economic problems, however, the faculty still manages to educate the majority of the students to an acceptable level and beyond.
