My son is a 3rd grader and attends highland park he is ADHD and has other problems that demands alot of attention and one on one help. There was a time when they would let my son call me every day because he was having a bad day regardless to the fact that I was at work so I had to let them know that if he was refusing to do something then he needed to be sent to the office and I would handle that afternoon when I got off work. Things are going great now know parent alerts or phone calls anymore=)

I also am a very pleased parent. My son, 9, is in the 3rd grade, and he attended Hiland Park since Pre-K, before it was free. I paid $60.00 a month for him to attend. It was a wonderful experience for him. We love Hiland Park Elementary School, and I agree, the teachers and administration are excellent.

This is a great school, however it is over 3 miles away, when there is another school within a mile, so I don't know how good their districts are.

For the past 3 years my 2 children have been attending Hiland Park Elementary. When I was a child, I attended Hiland Park. Throughout the years, I have watched this school excel in all areas. Most of the teachers seem to really care about the students and want to see them go further. Granted, at any school, you'll find a teacher that you are not impressed with. But overall, I am very much pleased with everyone at Hiland Park. Before I chose Hiland Park, my children attended schools that were labeled 'advanced' schools. Be careful when you choose a school. Don't choose a school because it is supposed to be 'advanced'. Choose it because it is the best school for your child and it meets their needs. That is why I finally came to my senses and chose the school that is best for my children, Hiland Park.
