Prestwood is a great public school! My kids went to the local catholic school and I think the education & arts are much better at Prestwood. There is great parent help and the teachers are really vested in the kids' eductional needs. The campus is cheerful and colorful. Since switching schools, my kids STAR scored have gone up and socially, they have made many more friends. I'm really impressed with the school!
I am absolutely amazed by Prestwood. My daughter is in Ms. Foshay's 5th grade class, the best class ever! I love the balance with academics and the arts
Just completed our first year at the school and we are happy with our choice. We were considering Parochial and other private options but in the end we are quite satisfied. Good parent envolvement, decent availability of extracurriclars (Music, art, etc) given the Cal. budget issues. Some minor issues with admin. and the like but more the typical things you would expect to run into almost anywhere.
Our children have attended Prestwood School since 1995, and we as parents have been very satisfied with the leadership, teaching and facilities. Prestwood feels more like a private school because of the parent involvement and support.
