I have attened Berean eversince i was in the K5, and now im only a few weeks into my senior year. I will tell the truth, I've had some ups and downs. I love it there and honestly don't know another school in our area that could keep up with the acedemics provided. Over the past 12 years Berean has gone through many changes for the better. Every school has their problems but they have good intentions, great motives, and a booming sports program.
I came BCS thinking my child would receive an excellent education and all that comes with a child being enrolled in a private christian-based school-not! I am so disappointed in BCS. After comparing notes of other public schools with BCS, I have come to conclusion that I am paying private school price for a pulic school education. I will say one thing, my child has learned more about the bible. I feel that some of the teachers treat some parents and.or kids like they do not belong at BCS. How could that be? This is not a free education; it is been paid for but yet you are treated like it is free. Some teachers are not courteous to you and also some of the parents but yet this is a christian based school. The teachers say negative things about the kids very openly, too many issues.

The school does have cliques and alot of rules but if you just listen to the teachers you will do fine here. Its fun especially retreat for middle/high school. The teachers really care about you not just school wise but you can go to them with any type of problem. There has been alot of changes in the last year or two but most of them are for the better.

Fortunately, administration from elementary to secondary to headmaster has all changed for the 2007-2008 school year. A more intensive passion for excellence has been urged among the teachers and students at BCS. Many favorable changes have occurred in the past few months. I'm excited to see how the school is improving and keeping their focus on spiritual and academic growth.
