I had 2 children go through and 2 still there. I HATE this school!!! Larry Gervais is the only teacher there who seems to care about these kids. He is always fair but firm and holds them responsible for their actions without being unfair, unrealistic, uptight or mean. The rest of them, (esp. the principal and vice principal) need to stop trying to be politically correct and start trying to be teachers! In other words... open your eyes and get a clue!
I had one child go through this school and two more that will in a few years. Luckily the oldest is a good student and did fairly well academically, but I was not impressed with the curriculum. I believe the teachers had too many students to be able to have any time for the individuals who need help. I am not looking forward to my next round at this school with my other 2 children.
There is a very limited academic program. The teachers don't take students who show the ability to do what there trying to teach a seperate lesson. The principal is an unfair person who doesn't listen to both sides of the story.The parents try not to get involved to stay away from the principal. As for the art program there is a lack of art supplys, the students aren't trusted with materials, and they squash creativity. there is a lack of space.There are not enough desks or lockers.They don't teach to the best of their abilities. Students complain but the teachers all give excuses. The school has laptops but they are more of a burden. They constantly break ,you have to carry them around and when they break you lose all your work and the teachers don't let you redo it. that is my opinion on this suject. It wont change.
Thank goodness I only went there for 8th grade. I hated it. The principal was a dictator and the teachers squash creativity.
