The school is great (compared to most of them witin in 20 miles) and the staff is friendly. Byron Center Schools are still better in my opinion. Cal El could use better organizing and a better PTO group. The pto tends to mess things up often. Teachers (that my kids have had) are over worked and are not able to give 100% because of it. I have to rate above average because they do have good values and my kids like it there.
Cal EL is outstanding. The staff will work with parents as much as you want. They care and are qualified. We would highly recommend it.
My son attends Caledonia Elementary. We have considered moving, but Cal. El. is the reason why we have not moved. My son loves it there. He receives a lot of support and encouragement from the staff.
