I give this school 1 Star because -5 is not available. This school does not encourage advanced students at all. The staff is full of lip service. Children are paced. The Music program is good thanks to a lot of donations and fundraising. Parent participation: Open house night was about 100 people which included the staff at a school of 500+ kids. Pathetic! PTO does a good job. Bottom line, this is a great school for the average kid that is self motivated and the parent that doesn't care to be involved much. The campus is clean. Lower grade teachers are great.

My son has attended Pioneer since Kindergarten. We have nothing but positive experiences here. The community is close knit and we all look out for each others kids. The teachers and staff are top quality and the education is well rounded. I can't think of a school I would rather have my son attending.

We love Pioneer. My son started Pioneer in the 2nd grade after attending an elementary school in the bay area. Pioneer has outstanding academic scores. The classes are most often half of what they are in large cities. This year he had 14 students in his class. The children participate in Art and Music programs at least once a week. And have P.E. every day (weather permitting). The major reason that the school is able to offer so many great programs; that other schools have had to discontinue, is due to the great amounts of parent and community involvement. I very strongly suggest this school!
