The teachers are amazing and now in our 5th year (K-4th), my son has had nothing but positive experiences.

This school has a lot of great activities for the students and over all a caring dediccated staff. However I find that they do not really listen to parents who are very vested in their child's education or if they brigns an issue to the table. Administratively they tend to 'nod and wave' then do what they want in their own time. Even fi what was suggested months before was not accceptable because they did not 'think ofit first'.

I was impressed since I went to the orientation night this September. The teachers are so enthusiastic about learning. I was very impressed with the writer's workshop. I have love my son's teacher and assistant teacher. My son is learning so much. The PTA is very involved and a great advocate for our children. Both the principal and vice principal are enthusiastic and advocates for the children.

I have had two children attend Fairmount School in Hackensack. The previous principal seemed to have more of a handle on things than the current principal. I have had meetings concerning my child where suggestions that were supposed to be implemented never were. The teachers are basically okay. This school is mediocre at best. I feel that new programs need to be implemented - something is stale about the formula here. My son's teacher has sent home work that she has corrected where she has mispelled the words. Not good. The music program seems to be pretty good. My daughter was in the glee club, which has nice performances. I can not recommend this school, he attends because this is in our district, but it's not recommended.
