I think the school has improved a lot since Mr. Rebello has taken the reins. He is trying hard to get parents involved, it's the parents who are not willing. I think the teachers are being forced to step up, and it is a process, I see great strides. I like the fact that the staff is young and vibrant. I feel like the guidance department is probably the oldest department, and they are used to not having a lot of parental involvement. the old principal frowned on parental involvement. I think if the guidance department started stepping up to the plate and make changes, things would run more smoothly. I do feel the school is too large, as far as discipline, they are not as vigilant as I would like to see, perhaps it should be only 3 grades, and let KMS handle four grades?

Mt. Hope High School is only concerned with appearances. As a teacher of this school, it has become increasingly apparent to me that the school is only concerned with band-aid fixes for NECAP scores and nepatism - both of which seriously harm the learning of students. While some teachers try hard and make themselves available to students, many more are rewarded and congratulated for doing the least work. Discipline is virtually non-existant, and is constantly undermined by oblivious administration. My love of teaching has been ruined by the 3+ years of working here.
