Central is a great school with a wonderful philosophy. The teachers are very professional and the environment is friendly and comfortable.
I disagree with the last post. The principal, Cori McKenzie, is not 'so-so', she is fabulous. She met with us at pre-K orientation, and immediately impressed us with her caring, knowledgeable, and professional attitude. She has been with us every step of the way (they're now in 3rd & 5th), leading the school through a tough budget environment to win a National Blue Ribbon award, celebrating each member of the school community's achievements and participating in every event we've attended as parents (even sparsely attended 'better parenting classes'). I think her fair, thoughtful leadership has been excellent.
Teachers are great with a few exceptions, like any other school. Principal is 'so-so.' The PTA is wonderful. So overall it is an average school.
