We were a Calif. Distinguished School in 2000. We feel we still are. The staff is great. We seem to be the most popular school in our district.
San Gabriel is an exceptional school. Teachers are superb! However, a new principal had come into play in 2006 and has not stepped up to the plate as far as interaction with the children and problem solving with parents. Does not handle problem solving in a timely manner. Parking is an extreme problem. No communication between city authorities (police) and school officials (principal). Traffic on nearby road walking to school is unsafe and could potentially lead to an extremely dangerous situation.
San Gabriel is a great school. The principal really cares for his students and staff.The teachers really put their all into giving the students the best that they can.
good quality of academic programs, access to extracurriclular activities, parent involvement could always be more.
