I find the administration to be friendly and helpful. I especially benefit from the weekly e-mail newsletters. The teachers vary from class to class. My daughter has had a couple of terrific teachers and one we could certainly do without. Her counselor is a great woman. The school has had some technical difficulties that makes communicating with teachers via e-mail difficult and their website isn't always up to date. But overall, I have no major complaints and would recommend this school to others.
What a great school! A very caring staff, supportive and energetic administration, especially the assistant principal. My child has had a positive and truly growing academic experience.
I was very nervous about sending my child to AJHS, but she had a fabulous 7th year, and is on track for an even better 8th! the Principal and VP have a wonderful approach, and her teachers were inspiring for her. However, the much touted ability to monitor HW and student progress via the website is woefully inadequate. In balance though, I am very pleased, and would recommend AJHS to interested parents.
