I have a freshman currently attending and 4 older kids that have graduated from REL over the past 7 years. I do wish the safety and security of the campus was better, but there have been no unusual 'attacks' here. It's just so spread out and too many outside doors for it to be effeceintly secured. There are better teachers than others, and I would strongly suggest the Pre AP and AP classes for any student who knows how to read. The on level classes are a joke. Communication between the parents and teachers is pretty good. I have always had my emails answered within 1 day and some will even call if neccessary. As far as the athletic teams, they are all very competitive. Lee offers many ways for students to be involved, but can be a bit clickish. Parking lot traffic needs a lot of help.

Robert E Lee is a great school with many extracurricular activities for anyone. The band program is one of the best in east texas. Consistently earning division 1 ratings. Lee also offers a challenging AP and IB program. The teachers are great. Though there are those who aren't so great. it takes a bit of self motivation to get through. as said in other reviews, it's easy for a student to fall through the cracks.
