I loved going to vanden! i miss some of the teacher! thay were awesome........i had a great time being a freshman at vanden!

As a recent graduate I felt the need to write an up to date review of the school. The school has recently gone through extensive remodeling and looks amazing. Gone are the days of flooding and outdated classrooms. Compared to the other schools in the area such as Armijo, Fairfield and even Will C. Wood and Vaca High, Vanden is better in so many ways. Violence and crime and extremely low, test scores are substantially higher and kids are far less disruptive. If you're moving to the area, try your hardest to get your child in to Vanden. The school is much safer than any others in the area and Academics are much, much better than many schools in California. I'm not really sure what these other reviews are talking about.

I have attended this school for four years and i can say, first hand, that it is a decent school. It does need remodeling and the're doing great at trying to improve the school. The one thing i do disagree with is that they are not focussing on what is really important, the students. Vanden is focused on making the school looked good on the outside rather then fixing the problems on the inside. For example: theft in locker rooms, poor outdated school books, class rooms being closed at lunch (students that need extra help cant get it), teachers that are pushovers (disruptive kids get away with to much). With these problems it is difficult for many students to get anywhere. It's these problems that are keeping the school from reaching its true potential.
