We've been very impressed with quality of teachers and educational programs at Byrd. Unbelievable parental involvment as well.
Committed educators produce quality education. Teacher quality/commitment varies by grade level. You won't find a more exceptional Kindergarten teacher. Phenominal! Although, if your child has a learning disability, eg. ADD/ADHD, this school is not for you. If you like mandated teacher-parent conferences, your needs won't be met here either. It is extremely rare to find some educators available after contract hours. My partiality to 'above the call of duty teachers' is derived from my first-hand experience and knowlege of what's available in school systems outside of Glen Rock, NJ. Not the school I had hoped it would be.
My Daughter previously attended 3 other schools prior to moving to Glen Rock; we belive the Principal, Teachers and Parents made her transition to the area a pleasure. I do not believe any other school could in any way top this school it is simply perfect.
