This is the best elementary school in this area. We moved from Minnesota for the better schools and are very happy. Fantastic teachers and very nurturing environment. Lots of communication with parents. Gifted program are excellent. Special needs support is less compared to Willow River though.
My son started K here. We discovered he has ADHD in Kindergarten and later that year learned he was highly gifted. The school totally went out of their way to place him in the right environment to learn the best he can. From modifications in environment for his ADHD when he got 'wiggly', to advanced work at his level, talks with the counselor about social behavior issues, etc.. I have nothing but positive things to say about the teachers, counselor, principal, parental involvment, nurse, G&T teacher, Special Ed teacher, everything. I am only hoping to find as good a quality school when we move somewhere warmer. Hudson is a great place to live. I will miss it dearly.
I moved to Wisconsin from Minnesota because my daughter was not getting the support she needed from her school. She has been at Rock for 3 years now and is doing better and continues to get the support she needs. They have much to offer.
