What a great year we had a school for the 2008-2009 school year. We have moved our daughter to several schools over the last few years and this one out ranks them all 'we' believe in Manteca. The programs setup for the children work well and Principal Borgeson really knows how to run this school! Thnanks to all the wonderful teachers for the great work!

I feel students grading students is fine. I don't think its about letting the teacher off the hook of correcting. If a student does very poorly and others make fun than that's more on the students personality's and I would hope they would know better! Maybe you could talk to your daughters teacher? One of the many things I love about McParland is the communication. I've never had a problem talking to the Principals or the teachers to resolve any issues I had. Good Luck! :)

I could not be more please with the Annex. I have one child who is in 1st grade. We have had a wonderful experience both years. I highly recommend Mrs. Smudrick (formerly Ms. Taff). She is compasionate about her students. She expects a lot from them yet the progress I have seen in my child's growth is just incredible. The staff is very attentive to the children and parents. Ms. Scholl is concerned about our children and their welfare. My child wakes up happy and ready to attend school. This reinforces the value of an education. If you are looking for a school that is strong in academics and a compasionate faculty...look no further than the Annex.

I have read other statments from the parents reviews that were negitive. These reviews seem to be focused on a singular problem. I have two children that have been at Mc Parland since kindergarden. One is now in the seventh grade and the other is in high school. Over the nine years that I have inteacted with the school, the teachers, staff, pricipal and even the janitor have had nothing on their minds except the wellfare and learning enviroment. They all are top notch and will be missed when my youngest child leaves there for high school in two years. They do believe in sports, the arts, and having fun but their first goal is to educate the children, as it should be. My deapest thanks goes to all of the staff at Mc Parland!
