I beleive that the academic programs of this school are awesome. I moved her six months ago and my son was held back into kindergarten in his previous school in kingman, Arizona. At Bess Maxwell here in Crescent City he is doing exceptionally well. His teacher is awesome and he has homework every day in kindergarten. At his old school there was no homework. As far as music, sports, and other extracurricular activities they sort of have a tight budget, but they make due with what they have for a town of about 7000 people. They involve the parents in everything and are very informative when it comes to your childs progress.

This school is great. If you will look at test scores for other school's in our area bess maxwell is one of the best. It has much higher scores than 'parent preffered' mary peacock.

This school has potential but is lacking in funding and in a general state of disrepair. I was disappointed at the lack of extra activities.
