WOW! What a great school. The teachers, principal, and staff are amazing. I was so impressed I went to work for them. My third child is now a 4th grader and he LOVES IT. The only complaint my other 2 children had: they had to leave and move up to another grade. They received multiple awards such as Exemplary Campus, and Gold Star awards of Texas. If every school was this wonderful it would make a parents job so much easier.
My son went to SIS through both 4th and 5th grade. I would recommend to any parent to ask your child every day how there day was, and keep tabs on things that go on in their classroom. But if there are ever any actions or incidentses that you feel should be brought to the principals attention; don't bother! Go directly to the School Board with the matter. The relationship between the Principal and the Teachers remind me of a continous 'Slumber Party' and the Principal might say 'Don't Mess with my Girlfriends'. Granted, there are some good teachers at SIS, but don't expect to be backed by the Principal when you have a legitimate problem or run-in with a teacher over the treatment of your child.
