I went to this school from the age of 5/6 to 14 years old. it was a great school that taught me all lot and helped me concentrate and focus than any other school. It gave an opportunity to meet people from different areas of race, stature, and creed. It was a place where everybody knew everybody at times from a first name basis. what a great school and it was a great privilege to learn from this wonderful place
This is an excellent school with a Strong administration and an excellent office staff which is second to none from some of the other schools I have been to. I have seen them handle many different situations just from standing at the counter. The PTA is excellent. What I have seen actually is that there are too many parents who think this is a private school and they should be catered to and it is not. This is public education and if you have been reading there are alot of budget cuts that have hurt the schools. As far as I am concerned they have done the best they can with the resources they have. Mrs. Tarafa is wonderful!
This is an excellent school. One of my children attended the regular program, the other is in 5th grade in the gifted program. They both received an extraordinary education. Recess is erratic and the director is hard to get a hold off--not a good thing. But the support staff--the assistant principal, for example--are always available. They know all the children. The gifted program is fantastic. Few private schools could provide this level of nurturing and preparation. Don't know enough about the middle school.
Weak administration and supporting staff. great FCAT scores..probably some of the best in the state. Curriculum is teach to test oriented. Library facility and staff excellent. Spanish program for non-Spanish speakers is very weak. Very little recess if any and low supervision in cafeteria. PTA is awesome group of families that pulls together to raise money and much needed resources for school.
