My Daughter has attended the afternoon Kindergarten at Evans Elementary since January 09. I was worried that she was going from full day Kindie in WA to half day and that she would lag behind the other full time students. I have been amazed at how much she has learned in the short time she has been there. She LOVES to go to school, LOVES her teachers and is just amazing me with her knowledge! Her Teachers are friendly and always ready to answer parent questions and I have never had an issue with her not being supervised after school at pick up. We are super excited about the IB program and excited to see what 1st grade brings....
This school is an exceptional school. The teachers care about the students and students are able to reach their full potential. Every interaction I've had with teachers has been positive and encouraging. The IB program is amazing!
We are very disappointed with this school. They are judgemental and there is a lack of communication with the teachers and parents. We are leaving this school.
My kids are attending there now, I moved from another state and the one thing i definitley noticed is that there not so friendly . When i picked up my kids in there old school, i was greeted by name by the teachers and staff. there was always a staff member or teacher waiting outside to get your kids, even when your late by a couple of minutes. They worry that your kid is not completely reading in kindergarten which to me is minor, and you have to pay 200 dollars a month for your child to go to kindergarten on top of supplies and fundraisers and everything else. That is crazy. Paying for college but not kindergarten. I didn't pay anywhere else. The office people are very friendly and helpful but the teachers show less care.
