Sheridan Elementary has exemplary teacherswho maintain high expectations, an outstanding surrounding supportive community, engaged and active parents and curious, eager to learn, dynamic students! When you walk into this school you can feel the energy, excitement, and learning that is happening in every classroom. The Principal and staff truly care about each and every child and there is evidence of that caring in every classroom! This is truly a school where 21st century learning is taking place and preparing each student for contributing to our global society in our future! This is an example of one of the best urban schools in the country! Go Sheridan Stars!

This is my second year teaching at Sheridan as a preschool teacher.The principal is amazing, as is the support staff. I plan to stay at this wonderful, enriching, diverse, educational environment. Go Sheridan Stars!

I am moving my children out of sheridan as fast as I can. The school as a whole is ok. There are some great teachers and some horrible teachers. I am forced to leave this school because of the latter. Children are taught to test and retain little information. The principle is of no help. When you ask for assistance she is rude and unhelpful. I also have issue with their frequent suspension and detention given to the children. Overall , I would recommend another school for families that do not have time to come home and teach their children because they are not learning at school. I should note that my children are on the honor roll and never have homework
