My daughter started kindergarten in the JBBP this year and I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised by how great the school is! Her teacher, Ms Tsukamoto, is amazing. She has great energy and is highly dedicated to making the school the best it can be. I can't believe how much japanese my daughter has learned in just a few months. She loves it and sings herself to sleep singing songs in japanese, every night! The great thing is that it is bilingual and bicultural so the bulk of the core work is taught in english so I feel that she will get a good handle on those things in her native language but there is an hour a day of japanese that exposes the kids to additional art and music (and culture) that they wouldn't necessarily get in traditional public schools given the budget these days.

My daughter is new kindergartener, and I am blown away by what Mrs. Abiko, her teacher, has accomplished. My daughter is geniunely excited about going to school and readily shares what she learns. On top of reading basic words, drawing letters, and understanding the calendar, days of the week, time, etc., She's doing learning it in Japanese too. Amazing!
I have a 2nd grader this in coming school year at JBBP program teachers are excellent from my child skills from K-1. JBBP Teachers are very prompt , discipline thier students well and tried thier best that the students will learned.. Keep up the good work...

My daughter is enrolled at Rosa Parks JBBP. I am really pleased with the language acquisition aspect of the curriculum. It has surpassed any expectation that I had and she is embracing the Japanese language with great passion. The teachers are unbelievably committed and innovative in their instructions. Although parents raise the issue of safety, there are no safety concerns whatsoever. Strong parent group moving the school forward with innovative ideas. The JBBP program raises funds through a unique popcorn called Sakura popcorn that is a hit in every household.
