McKinley is a great public school-- a wonderfully diverse student boday, amazing teachers who challenge each and everyone of them, and a committed group of parents and guardians who want to see them all succeed!
I volunteer at McKinley and the teachers there are great!!! Especially Mr. Kallok, who writes wonderful songs and teaches them to his kindergartners. Overall, a very happy place to be.
Our first child is in 1st grade, and our second child just started Kindergarten here. We love several things about the school- its relatively small size, the dedicated and talented teachers and principal, the PTA which is run by a group of extremely devoted parents and increases in membership each year, and, last but not least, the wonderful diversity. McKinley has kids from a wide variety of socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds, and everyone feels welcome.
The teachers are VERY dedicated and work collaboratively, a real plus. I pick up at 5:00 and most are still there!
