Lakeshore provides an excellent public education because of the quality programs still offered that used to be part of traditional schooling - art, music, physical education - along with other new programs.

Our son just started Lakeshore this fall and so far we have been very pleased. The Lakeshore community is very welcoming and very organized. My husband and I have been amazed at the number of committees the PTA runs each year. We chose Lakeshore for a number of reasons: diverse student body, tons of enrichment, the facilities, and their relationships with Lowell High School next door and SF State down the street that bring extra helpers to the campus each year. Our son is in the before school program, Everyday Magic, which he loves. They also offer an excellent after school program. At our recent Back to School Night we were impressed by the Kindergarten reading program and the math curriculum- Everyday Math. We are also excited about the gardening, motor perception, art and drama programs. Good luck with your search, I know how stressful it is!

Lakeshore is my elementary school, and it's the best school i've ever seen. Clean, good students, good learning. Absolutely no complaints. And the teachers are great!!!! My favorite teacher was Mr.Rich. Keep going!

My daughter has had a wonderful experience over the years at Lakeshore. Though I'd started to sense that teachers were getting tired and frustrated several years ago, the new principal has done a great job. We are sad that our time here will end after this year. The consultant programs (arts, motor perception, PE, gardening) are all outstanding as are the vast majority of the teachers who go well beyond what you'd expect for their students. Great school!
