Our 7 year old is in 2nd grade and he loves this school. The parent support structure is phenomenal. Academically, we don't feel he is being challenged enough but his classmates have a good upbringing and are positive influences. Since the school is in the middle of Cole Valley and a compact residential area, parking is always a problem. It is just something you have to live with if you can't walk to the school. The principal is energetic but disingenuous and should make more of an effort to engage with parents that she has not met before. Other than these minor criticisms, a fine choice.
It's a wonderful elementary school for my grandchildren. Very good in academics and involving the parents and the community of Cole Valley.
