My,(our) experience with greynolds park, is that the staff puts the student first and with every possible resource the curruculum is presented in the self-confidence building format so that basic tools for life are gained,earned therefore the student develops an appetite for learning. The result a young person with superior self-esteem and balanced respect for others in the community and the world. ten stars would be closer to the gratitude for the dedication of those responsible. Greynolds Park Elementary is a top knotch school with excellent administrators and teachers. I have lived in the neighborhood since 1977 and have seen many changes in the school. My children and grandchildren have been given a wonderful education from this school but more imporantly they have been made to feel safe and loved in their school environment. Who could ask for more?!
I am extremely impressed with the progress that GPES has made over the past couple years. Past Principal Bernard Osborn, his staff of teachers, para-professionals and the students have all done and extraordinary job with school improvement in every sense - FCAT Scores (GPES now an 'A' school),Increase in the Reading, Writing & Math achievement levels, continued yearly progress & meeting of proficiency targets, EESAC guidance, Increased Parental Involvement, the beautification of the premises, comradery, diversity of its students, workshops, physical fitness programs, ESOL, PTA, academic excellence programs, fundraising, etc. Current Principal, Dr. Alice Quarles not only carries on the legacy, but takes it a couple steps further by being actively involved and present at every event, securing only the best teachers & staff and striving for continuous improvement with the school improvement plan, goals and education for our children. Keep up the good work GPES!
