Buena Vista is a small school in a big city. As a parent, I am excited to be a part of such a warm and caring community of students, teachers and parents. The children are all in a Spanish Immersion program, giving them a lifelong skill of being fluent in both Spanish and English by the time they graduate 5th Grade. It's a great public school!
Love this school. Incredible teachers who care. The field-trips are amazing and an overall loving school.

If you believe in your child's ability to make the most of what is offered then Buena vista is the place for you. I have two children who have gone through the program and they have continued on in tough academic settings earning high marks without struggling. The offerings are rich and varied from the opportunity to become fluent in a two languages to a high quality art program. But more than that Buena Vista is a school with great spirit and heart. I love the post about the graduation ceremony. Buena Vista dances, drums and celebrates with children. And in this day and age of standards we need more schools like BV. The key here is that you will get out of the school what you put into it.

I can only speak to the Aftercare Program...it looks a bit chaotic, but for my daughter, after sitting still all day in a Spanish Immersion kindergarten that is faily structured, I love that at the aftercare program she can run around, or not, paint, sing, play outside, do art projects, read books, or play games. I think she enjoys the freedom a lot.
