Great band program and incredibly time devoted band teachers. Strong Drama program and teacher. Majority of the teachers at this school have taken a strong personal involvement with academic concerns. Some of teachers have been with the district far too long (burnout). Less time needs to be spent on TAKS testing. More time needs to be spent on grammar and spelling. Would like to see indivdualized lesson plans for each student, per each class appropiate help whether student is special ed or gifted. Education should be fair and equal to all regardless of academic level. Athletic program is in need of strong leadership examples. This particular school is rought with wanna be gang members. Discipline at this school is incredibly poor. Students are unrully and lack proper guidence from parents. Strong lack of parental involvment. school needs campus police, parent volunter patrol in halls. Needs true visible principle presence leadership

First of all this really needs to be updated since this school is now the new 6th grade center. Im very impressed with this school. The teachers really get involved with the kids although there are exceptions most of the teachers are great. My son is learning responsibility with a hint of preteen the way it should be. Its a nice school. I highly recomend other communities to create schools solely for the preteen, since with ours in seguin there is 1 or 2 others.
