Evergreen Elementary School

This will be my sons first year here & so far the teacher & registeration process has been wonderful. The staff seems very pleased when you walk into the school. He already meet his teacher & so is so upbeat & excited about the new year starting. I think that my son & our family will be very happy here.

This is a school where teacher/parent involvement is encouraged and I would highly recommend this school to any parent. I have two children grades 1st and 4th and they have enjoyed going to Evergreen every day. The teachers are professional and have always taken the time to respond to any questions in a very quick manner. I can not say enough good things about the support we have received from both the teachers and principal. The entire staff is very dedicated to creating a safe place where students can have fun excelling. If I had to think up a negative, it would be that the pace of the school board curriculum, at times, challenges the teachers to complete all the work in the time allowed. This issue does not concern me to much because my children enjoy learning, receive support, and in the end have mastered a great education.

I have a 1st grader currently enrolled. My first grader adores his teachers and I've been thrilled by the variety programs & take-home projects; and the way they've encouraged my child to become an active member of this class. In Kindergarten, there was a big emphasis on phonics and reading and it's really paid off in 1st grade. His reading skills are strong and they've made it so much fun! Parents are also involved in planning class parties during the year. There are several family or parent night events and the teachers have made it easy for me to ask questions. There are also regular gym, art, music and computer classes, coupled by weekly trips to the school library. There's an on-site daycare/pre-school called Pals Care, which is great. This program also features a top-notch summer camp program, with a variety of field trips and activities. I highly recommend Evergreen Elementary!

Evergreen is a wonderful school with dedicated teachers! We have been extremely happy with the education that our son has received. They are dedicated to small class sizes and providing a great education.
