this school is beyond amazing. when i first got to sixth grade i was worried because i thought the teachers were going to be hard but then i knew they had expectations but the teachers were amazing. if you think this school may be snotty and stuff well you are wrong cuz you will make alot of friends if you go. last year i didnt have much friends but now i have so many!!!!
This school is a great school with caring teachers and staff. Parents need to remember to take the time and talk to the staff and the teachers to make sure their children are on the right track. Milton Somers has a good mix of teachers young and experienced to provide a great balance for new trends in the learning environment and a wealth of experience. The school prides itself on the strides it takes to advance the education of the children in their classrooms.
As a parent of a student at Somers Middle School, I am very dissappointed with the overall quality or lack thereof in the school. The school lacks supplies such as supplies and other essential materials needed to foster a productive learning environment. Secondly, as a parent who actively participates in my son's educational development,I have not found most staff supportive or genuinely eager to create or maintain teams between staff and parents. Finally, I am not sure if teachers have expressed the level of enthusiasm required to meet the needs of the student population they serve. I hope that one day these issues can be resolved, but for today I am inclined to look for another school that can effectively meet my child's needs. - Nichole Weaver
Milton Somers is a sad excuse for a good caring school. They use to care about their students until this new principal. They only care for themselves and staff not for students.
