CTE is a typical rural school. Each class has about 28 students and each grade has at least one teacher that is excellent. The administration is very involved, the children have access to many programs during the school year and fun activities. Unfortunately, they have a new math program- Everyday Math- that has been rated as one of the worst by many experts, teachers and parent organizations. It is convoluted, difficult for the kids to understand and doesn't require the basics math concepts. So much so, they had to modify the report card to disguse this fact. Enjoy homework nightmares that include our child breaking down, crying and screaming? This is the math program for you! The PTO contributes financially to school programs. The building is clean, was recently remodeled to insure safety and install air conditioning. Phys Ed, Art, Music are available each week. They also have intervention and HI classes.
