Curie draws from an upper middle class neighborhood. The parents tend to be very educated, many with PhDs and other advanced degrees. Parents are very involved and active. The well funded PTA pays for Art, PE, and Music. Mr. Juarez, the principal, cares about the children's learning needs. Some of the teachers are better than others. Truthfully, some of the teachers need to either improve or retire. Yet other teachers are outstanding.

I am from the mid-west, and this school has a small town feel to it. The parents are welcomed by the teachers and outstanding principal, and the level of academic rigor is exceptional for a public school. My wife and I are both working parents, and we are extremely happy with our children's teachers at Curie.

I have two kids at this school, and both of them love it. The teachers are great, and very well-experienced. The PTA involvement are extremely good in organizing, funding programs and sharing their thoughts, and caring very much about the kids. We are parents who are both working, but we don't feel like less involved or left out in any way. School play or events, flexible volunteer hours and well-communicated effort are greatly appreciated by all parents. Overall, this is a great place for kids to start their education journeys.
