Basically if your child has the willingness to learn and push themselves this school provides endless possibilities. I graduated as an EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) and there are soooo many other opportunities. Encourage your student to participate in extra curricular activities & Ap/Honors courses. Dual Credit courses are EASILY EASILY EASILY available. (Receive college & high school credit) They saved so much money and time in college. This school was great!!
Del Rio high school---a place to get away from no matter what the cost.Dont send your kids there.Too many gang problems and a bad learning atmosphere --- too much corruption from people who have no desire to learn---why are they there?
Very poor at keeping parents informed. They make announcements to the children and expect all information to be relayed to the parents. This is the first of July and I have been waiting for my kids report cards all summer. I finally called and was told that they only mail them if you bring in a self addressed stamped envelope. This is told to the kids but nothing is sent to the parents.
I'm a student here and I would say the teachers are excellent and that we have many clubs and plenty of activities for every kind of person.
