Generally, I am happy at WAS. The parent involvement is extraordinary, and the principal is passionate about the kids. They need to improve the extracurricular activities, and the Board and Superintendant need to remain sensitive as to class sizes, so they can continue to offer small class sizes and offer enrichment opportunities, such as the Discovery Room and after school activities.

I have two children in Woodside Avenue School. I am thrilled with the principal. He knows every childs name and is always there. He has created such a positive culture with high academic standards. The teaching staff has changed over the last three years and is now a top notch staff of dedicated professionals. Children come first at Woodside.

My son is in his second year at Woodside (1st grade) and I am thrilled with the new principal and his teacher. They are both dedicated, responsive to concerns and approachable. My son is having a much better experience this year and I expect that he will continue to! Once security concerns are addressed, I will feel completely comfortable with him in Woodside.

My three children atteded Woodside for two years. Two of my children are twins. Everynight they would pretty much have the exact homework but on report card day one would have on their report card does not hand in homework on time. I feel the principal was insensitive and had lack of involvement along with most of the teachers. For such a prominent district the schools are just OK at teaching , but have no sensitivity to children.
