We had three children attend this excellent high school. In addition to offering a wide array of AP classes, the extra-curricular options are varied. The marching band and orchestra programs are great--whether or not your student is particularly 'musical.' Our students were all UC-qualified. Today 2 have graduated with professional degrees and 1 remains in school.

We had 4 kids go through Poway High. Interdistrict transfer for the last one. This school is partially responsible for the success of my 4. An awesome experience of combined 16 years experience. Fischer is amazing, loved going to school there. Demanding academics, but teachers who care and are on top of your student. Councelors were great. Helped tremdously in the college process. Teachers who STILL keep in contact with my Kids. Sports were outstanding, and coaches some of my kids favorites (Champ), soccer, wrestling, volleyball, track.

POWAY High is an school with an excellent academic program. A majority of the kids are on a college prep course,unless they opt out. Baseball team & Wrestling & Basketball very competitive and very nepotistic. Parents are the most competitive group among the crowd. Most parents type 'A' business owners. Education top notch, your kid will be ready for college if they stay here. Parents must be involved, if so administration will notice and work with you. Campus rivals some colleges.
