San Onofre has been nothing but great for my daughter. The teachers and administrative staff are great.

San Onofre School is a great school. The teachers are very nice and helpful and they work w. the parents to have the kids do well in school. K class of Mrs. Gardner is the best. She knows the kids need a little break and she dances with them and teaches them music. Truly a joy !

Our 7th grader is an A/B student and has great encouraging teachers. There is extra help after school for any of the subjects he may need any extra help in. It s great that they have P.E., but we do refer to the almost daily running for P.E. as the jailhouse run , because all the kids are shuffling through the dirt track looking miserable. They do play sports occasionally, but not enough to satisfy the students. The lunches are also TINY. Our 1st grader has a wonderful teacher, Mrs. Flaherty; she really knows how to get all the kids to do the work they need to do. Homework is no problem, our son enjoys it. There are plenty of opportunities to visit the classroom, and it is a great environment. Our son stays excited about going to school, that in large part is a reflection of his teacher.

My daughter attends san O school and i have to disagree with most posts on here. The teaching is at best average. My child comes home daily telling of classmates falling tests and the teacher not going over work with them. My husband and i have to reteach everything taught in class and are in the process of moving our child to a school out in San Clemente. This school is missing alot, No art classes, no Physical education classes( unless you count my childs teacher taking them out and making them run laps), No music classes iether. Last time i checked the military was all about physical education so why are our children forgotten in this area? The schools meals are so small i send extra food with my child so she isnt hungry throught the day and the water coming out of the faucets taste terrible.
