This is a great school....the teachers, students, academics, are all wonderful.... if all schools were like Jonesboro High School....perhaps all students would be passing..lol.

The administration at JHS is great. Terry Trotter the principal is an outstanding principal. He was the principal when I was there. Sonja Williams is also a nice assistant principal she was also there when I was there. Last but not least Lisa James she is a very caring and sweet assistant pricipal.

This school appears to spiraling downward as time progresses. They are losing credit for most of their athletic programs and the budget for academics is quickly decreasing. The level of teaching and classes are currently above average for the surrounding areas, but teachers are retiring and as a result the classes are going downhill. The only good thing this school has going for it over the surrounding schools is the AP courses. There is a large discipline problem and very little morale at the school. Many teachers are getting as aggrivated as the students are at the administration. The school's building is also very gloomy. There are only 2 sets of windows in the entire building. One in the commons area and one in the special education classroom. As time progresses it's evident that adminstration cares only about trying to make JHS look good and not the education of it's students.
