My daughters have been attending this school 4 months now, and we LOVE it. They have learned so much, their teachers genuinely care about them, and there are so many extracurriculars available to them. The PTA is really growing, and doing some great things this year. I am grateful daily that we moved here!
some of the teachers are quite exceptional, but there isn't consistancy and the staff is all over the place. The education of the kids is basically up to the parents and if the kid isn't doing well then the blame is put on the parents instead of the teacher's creating a plan to improve the performance. Poor communication and lack of school responsibility in the education process makes this school one of the lowest in the Round Rock District.
My child has attended this school for 2 years and it has been a wonderful experience. The teachers are great and his learning has progressed greatly. This is a very good school.
There is an overall lack of communication between the teachers and parents. It is also amazing to see the extreme differences between teachers expecatations, homework requirement, and grading within the same grade level. The administration lacks clear guidance. There are some exceptional teachers at the school. In the past it was possible to select two teachers for your child's teacher preference every other year, but even that has discontinued.
