This is our first year at Anderson Mill and we are having blast. My only complaint is the lack of parent participation and volunteers. The previous schools we attended had TONS of volunteers.
i cannot say enough good things about this school. we are moving soon, and the #1 thing that i am sad about is leaving AME and my daughter's favorite teachers.
Have had six years of experience with A.M.E., and I am pleased with the atmosphere, support, and opportunities afforded to my children. Pros: Friendly teachers, fine arts programs, service groups for student participation, relatively small class sizes, safe atmosphere, teachers willing to problem solve with parents, great district. Cons: Growing class sizes, sometimes overemphasis on state exams, some difficulties with range of programs (I have one higher than average, but don't want him in pull out GT). Overall, very pleased, and looking forward to my next five years of my relationship with this school.
