They do not offer any extra classes for children who need help. Unwilling to go the extra mile. My son has been there three years and only one teacher was willing to work with him. They expect the parents to teach the children not the teachers. And there principal was caught with minors in a hotel room with drugs. Not a very good feeling to have as a parent with this school.

Both of my sons attend SGS and I think it is a very good school. The kids are engaged and learning, but they aren't bogged down with too much busywork...yet. My two are in 1st and 3rd and I was told it gets more intense in 4th grade. My youngest was behind a bit when he came into 1st grade, and the teachers picked right up on it and started him in a special reading program that really helped get him up to speed. All of the staff have had have been very involved in wanting to see my kids (and everyone' else's) succeed and helping them towards that goal. The PTO makes sure the kids aren't out there fundraising, instead we have fun fairs and a big dinner dance to raise funds. I love this school and while our taxes are high, I feel I am getting my money's worth.
This is a great school. The teachers are involved and care about the kids, and our PTO is absolutely top-notch!

The teachers at this school are wonderful. It is evident they have a strong desire to serve the children and the community. I am particularly impressed with the study of the rain forest my fourth grade child completed. Also, I enjoy that my child's 4th grade teacher sends home a study guide for the social studies test. It is a wonderful school!
